Welcome to the new Dorsett Woods website - I'm not a webmaster and it is definitely a work-in-progress, so patience is a virtue (if you are a webmaster or experienced blogger and you'd like to help, please don't be bashful!)
The idea is that this site will be a great place for local resources as well as a place where neighbors can post and view beneficial information. Once the site is well circulated, it will be limited to members only. Please use this as a source of communication - be prudent, polished and, as the Good Book says, kind in all you say and do (and write)!
Plans are underway for an End of Summer / Back to School Block Party! Check back often for more updates. It's success will be directly related to YOUR involvement. Please let me know by submitting a response via this site or contacting me directly if you'd be interested in helping. Directly below this post you should find a "Get Answers" section where you can post comments, questions and/or answers (must sign in prior to use).
Lastly, no post would be complete without a neighborhood friendly reminder that DUES are past due - so, if you haven't paid them for 2009 - you're late! The good news, we take late dues. Send them in now to the address on this site and we'll take your name off the list - whew, then you can join us at the Block Party, yeah!!
Seriously, dues are important - they keep us going, watered, lit and cut! If you are new to Dorsett Woods- "Welcome" - you should pro-rate your dues ($100 annually) based on the number of months you have been "in the Woods!"

Hello neighbors, I would like to share with you the financial status of the neighborhood association. As you can see below we are short on money to get us through the end of the year. If you have not paid your dues for this year we would appreciate you doing so soon. All the money collected goes directly back to the neighborhood to support the front entrance and the streetlights that help keep our neighborhood safe. I plan to post quarterly reports to share with everyone.
